WE’RE ON THE JOB!

Employers - Profile Search Access

Finally, a solution that streamlines the teacher interview process! No more lengthy first round interviews only to end up with very few top candidates. At Top Tier Teachers we find the talent and place it at your fingertips. In addition to access to candidate's comprehensive profiles, employers have the ability to engage candidates in online "Digital Interviews"! If after your review of the candidate's profile you decide that you would like to interview them, you can contact us and we will send a “Personalized Digital Interview” request on your behalf. This request will clearly identify that your organization has reviewed their profile and would like to move to the interview stage.

Digital Interview

The Digital Interview consists of a series of questions from the following categories:

  • Philosophy of Teaching and Learning

  • Technology Integration

  • Grading and Assessment

  • Differentiated Instruction

  • Instructional Effectiveness

  • Classroom Management

  • Teacher-Student Relationships

  • Teacher Collaboration

  • Continuous Professional Growth

  • Parent Communication & Involvement

  • Student Engagement

The digital interview system can be loaded with our research based question sets or with district specific questions. All responses are timed and rated. You and your interview committee members are able to view the digital interviews at any time using a computer, tablet or mobile device. What’s more, rather than being forced to view the entire interview to get to a specific question, you can click and view the responses to each individual question.

However, if you prefer to engage the candidate in a traditional “In Person 1st Interview”, we will send an in person interview request on your behalf.

To request that a “Personalized Digital Interview” or “Traditional Interview” invitation be sent to a candidate, contact us at Support@toptierteachers.com or call us at 877-632-8880 (option 2).

Teacher Proficiency Assessment (TPA)

We also offer the "Teacher Proficiency Assessment (TPA)." If after your review of the candidates profile you decide that you would like assess them, you can contact us and we will send a “Teacher Proficiency Assessment” request on your behalf. This request will clearly identify that your organization has reviewed their profile and would like for them to take the assessment as part of the hiring process.

The Teacher Proficiency Assessment is aligned with the Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) model core teacher standards for K-12 educators. The assessment is comprised of multiple choice questions based on the 10 InTASC standards as published by the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). "These standards outline what teachers should know and be able to do to ensure every K-12 student reaches the goal of being ready to enter college or the workforce in today’s world. These standards also outline the common principles and foundations of teaching practice that cut across all subject areas and grade levels and that are necessary to improve student achievement.

More importantly, "these Model Core Teaching Standards articulate what effective teaching and learning looks like in a transformed public education system – one that empowers every learner to take ownership of their learning, that emphasizes the learning of content and application of knowledge and skill to real world problems, that values the differences each learner brings to the learning experience, and that leverages rapidly changing learning environments by recognizing the possibilities they bring to maximize learning and engage learners. A transformed public education system requires a new vision of teaching" (InTASC Resource Guide).

Candidates receive scores in the following areas:

  • Application of Content

  • Assessments

  • Content Knowledge

  • Instructional Strategies

  • Leadership & Collaboration

  • Learner Development

  • Learner Differences

  • Learning Environments

  • Planning for Instruction

  • Professional Learning

In addition to the "Digital Interview" and "Teacher Proficiency Assessment", you also have direct access to candidate resumes, cover letters and certifications.

Employers - Retained Searches, Placement Services & Teachers on Assignment

If you're interested in a more personalized approach, consider our retained search services, placement services, and teachers on assignment.

As the phrase suggests, you have the option to utilize our services on a "Retained Search" basis. During a retained search, Top Tier Teacher’s search team works diligently to recruit a candidate pool based on specific criteria outlined by the school district.  This is typically a three to six-month engagement and includes several visits to the school by one of our search consultants.

Our "Placement Services" are conducted on a contingency basis, as opposed to a retained basis ("contingency" meaning that client schools only pay a fee to TTT when they hire a candidate through our Placement Services). Our fees are extremely competitive due to the efficiencies achieved through our digital interview process.

From time to time, clients need teachers to be placed in "Special Assignment". These special circumstances range from long-term homebound services to short term student assistance at school, in the home or a local center or library. Depending on the length of service and qualifications requested, these teachers are provided on an hourly basis.

When you take advantage of our retained searches, placement services or teachers on assignment, you will still have access to our database, our unique digital interview process as well as our teacher proficiency assessments. However, because these candidates are being recruited for your school district only, you will not experience the same level of competition from other districts as with our profile search program.

Regardless of which option you choose, however, you will have access to top talent in your area or across the nation.

We can assist you in your search for candidates from a variety of disciplines

  • General Education Teachers

  • School Psychologists

  • Speech & Language Therapists

  • Special Education Teachers

  • Early Childhood Educators

  • IB Trained Teachers

  • Career and Technical Education Teachers

  • Media Specialists

  • Technology Teachers

  • Art teachers

  • Physical Education Teachers

  • Music, Drama and Dance Teachers

  • Health educators

  • And Many More!!
